View Once-Classified Photos of Ground Zero Hiroshima - exhibition up to Aug 28th 2011

'International Center of Photography' in New York (icp.org) has some supposedly new photos of Hiroshima.

They can be viewed one at a time. (I couldn't get the 'enlarge' feature to work, however). Very unimpressive -
no evidence that I could see for nuclear bombing, as opposed to conventional. All that I checked of the 65 were taken Oct-Nov 1945, i.e. about two or three months after the bombing, and of course therefore fairly useless as evidence..

This may be a different collection - the layout is unclear --

Incidentally it's amusing to see photos described as 'silver halide gelatin emulsion' or similar phrases; typical of the portentousness of these places. A bit like calling a letter 'metal-applied fluid to mesh-formed pulped wood'.

BBC have added a comment on this to their collected rubbish.

Note that their garbage is classified under 'Entertainment and Arts'! I wonder if the BBC will make its century before it folds. Personally I hope not.
