[British] Government commits to new reactors

In a speech to the Royal Society today, he acknowledged that previous nuclear policy made a series of expensive mistakes, with the Department of Energy currently spending £2 billion a year on dealing with the legacy of old reactors.

Government 'leaders' spend a lot of their time now announcing which group of frauds is to get taxpayers' money. I suppose they have to be quite good at acting, if nothing else.

There's a whole belt of "nuclear reactors" across the North of England stretching from Warrington to Hull. You'd think they'd be talking about getting rid of them instead of building new ones. Maybe they're still perceived as being "green."
