There a rumor circulating the net that the earthquake in Virginia was created by a nuke that was set off in the vast underground tunnels rumored to exist all under the USA. And there were strange hissing sounds said cause by air going into or out or, these tunnels.

Well, there are probably tunnels, and there might have been explosions. I can't understand why an earthquake can't just be natural. There have been earthquakes for thousands of years. What is so strange now when they happen?

People are making such an enormous deal out of this hurricane Irene stuff here in New York City. I'll believe it when I see it. They've even closed the Metropolitan Museum for the weekend. They're evacuating people left and right. I don't get it. Maybe it's because I'm from California and not really phased by earthquakes and other natural phenomena.

I didn't even know about it until all these chicken people around me started bleating what the boob tube had fed them.
